Winner of the 2014 Rosamund Prize at the Royal Northern College of Music - this piece for solo soprano and piano is a collaboration with English poet Daniel Ryder and his experience traveling through the Midwest region of the United States for the first time. As a long time resident of the Midwest region myself, I was honored to be chosen to write the music to pair with Daniel’s poem. Thank you to soprano Sarah Helena Foubert for her wonderful interpretation of this music in the premiere performance of this piece.
